About the event
Part 3: Trauma, Attachment, and Recovery: This webinar will review trauma, attachment and impacts to relationships and then delve into the 4 phases of the recovery process to take back the power that was lost with being a victim. Adaptation is the process to which the person moves from being a victim to changing their thoughts and restructuring their lives through healing and self-worth.
My name is Dr. Marsha Chase, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I completed my Doctoral degree at Northcentral University in the Marriage and Family Therapy program specializing in Child and Adolescent Therapy in 2022 and serves as part-time faculty as an assistant professor in the Marriage and Family therapy program. I have worked in a mental health residential treatment and private practice with adolescents and families focused on processing and recovering from trauma so they can feel healing inside themselves and in their relationships. I am trained in multiple different therapy methods and find that most clients and families respond well to trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment-based family therapy that is genuine, empathetic and shows unconditional positive regard.
