About the event
Facilitator Bios: Dr. Aurélia Bickler, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT/State Approved Supervisor, hails from Paris, fluent in French, English, and conversational in Spanish and Hebrew. With a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy (2013) from Nova Southeastern University, she's been a certified hypnotherapist since 2005. Beginning her journey with S.U.P.E.R.B., she rose to become Executive Director, later teaching at Nova Southeastern University and serving as a Full-Time Professor for National University. In 2011, she founded Changing Forward, LLC, which has evolved into a collaborative Family Center. Since November 2021, she's been directing the Whole Person Center, aiming to bring exciting opportunities and services to the community. In her downtime, Aurélia enjoys playing piano, singing, and indulging in travel, puzzles, and art with her husband Marcus, and their three children, dog, and bird.
Dr. Zvi Bellin is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at National University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private psychotherapy practice based in Oakland, CA. Zvi has published research about the intersection of meaning-in-life and mindfulness in peer-reviewed journals and has broadened his research interests to include the decolonization of research methodology. He completed a mindfulness-based leadership program run by the East Bay Meditation Center. Zvi leads therapeutically oriented mindfulness trainings and retreats where he integrates spiritual and psychological practices.
