This workshop will cover how to integrate two very important frameworks into mindfulness practice: (1) a trauma-informed lens, and (2) cultural humility. These are two frameworks that are at the core of the Mindfulness Training Collective, and all of its offerings. Whether you are looking to grow in your own personal mindfulness practice, and/or seeking greater skillfulness is using mindfulness in your professional life, embracing intersectional resilience will be of great benefit. This workshop is open to the entire NU community. Beginners and seasoned practitioners of mindfulness are encouraged to attend.
Dr. Zvi Bellin is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at National University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private psychotherapy practice based in Oakland, CA. Zvi has published research about the intersection of meaning-in-life and mindfulness in peer-reviewed journals and has broadened his research interests to include the decolonization of research methodology.
