We tend to think of fiction as what is untrue. But fictions often contain important truths, even truths to live by. In fact, appeals to realism and fact are often less effective than inspiring stories, movies, or novels. How might embracing and appreciating fiction stimulate us to empathize with one another, create new ideas, suggest visions for moving forward together, highlight the urgent issues of our day, and open our imagination to new possibilities and solutions to difficult problems? How might fiction be a wisdom path?
