About the event
Is reading one of your passions? Did you use to read all the time, but now cannot find time to read anything outside of your assigned textbooks? Are you wondering what about the new literature releases and recommended readings in your area of interest? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the Wellness book club is a new adventure you can embark on at National University’s Whole Person Center.
Wellness book club will meet once a month to explore a series of books that inspire our soul and engage our minds. For each meeting, a list of recommended readings will be provided. Don’t have time to read any of the books? Not a problem! Just come to the meeting to listen about the books to decide if one of them sparks your curiosity. Otherwise, read as many books from the list and participate in a discussion around specific themes presented in the selection.
As we are getting closer to the start of a new academic year, the selection of books reflected helpful books while setting new habits for an academic success, as well inspirational books about the power of education. If you have a suggested about a book that you would like to add to the list, please reach out to Dr. Yulia Watters at ywatters@nu.edu
This month, we are reading Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear, by Elizabeth Gilbert
